Close to 25,000 Left Without Power in Queensland and Victoria Following Powerful Weather Systems
Around twenty-five thousand households in south-east Queensland were left without power on Monday morning after powerful weather events impacted the state, producing powerful gusts reaching 109 kilometers per hour.

Locals observed giant hailstones measuring up to 7cm in certain regions. Meteorological experts announced that different parts across the state had been affected by significant hail.

Emergency crews were attempting to repair energy supply throughout the impacted areas, with approximately seventy teams activated to handle the extensive power failures.
Victoria's Climate Difficulties
At the same time, approximately one thousand residents in the southern state also encountered electricity disruptions after the metropolitan area saw its heaviest rainfall in over 500 days.
State Emergency Services received 598 calls for help across the region, mostly for structural issues but also for collapsed vegetation and water accumulation.

Damp conditions were expected to linger along much of the state's eastern regions this week as a low-pressure trough continued to attract humidity against the shoreline.
Tuesday was predicted as the most rainy day, with ongoing storm activity predicted across different parts of both areas.

Medical authorities alerted that there was an increased chance of epidemic thunderstorm asthma across the state's northern country region, especially given the ongoing climate situation.
